The most important thing you can do to take care of your car, truck or SUV is to follow a schedule of regular maintenance. We offer a full body of services to keep your vehicle running smoothly: Oil change — Manufacturers recommend that you change your automobile oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles. Our Mobil oil change costs $15.95, while our Valvoline oil change costs $19.95, for vehicles that take up to 5 quarts. The price also includes the oil filter and lube. When we change your oil, we also check and top off the windshield washer fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, tire pressure, and rear differential. We also check your air filter and reset any computer system calling for an oil change. We would be happy to check your wiper blades, lights, belts, and anything else at your request. We carry a full line of conventional and synthetic oils. Synthetic oils resist breakdown and carry less byproducts than conventional oils and are strongly recommended for newer vehicles. Synthetics provide cleaner running engines and fight harmful deposits. Go to the Mobil1 website to learn more about synthetic motor oils. Tire rotation — Vehicle owners should have their tires rotated regularly in order to reduce wear and maximize the lifespan of the tire. At Cimarron we recommend that you have us rotate your tires every other oil change. During a tire rotation, we will physically inspect your tires and one of our mechanics will inspect your brakes for wear and performance. Tune-ups — Due to the improved quality of auto parts, it is usually only necessary to change spark plugs for the standard tune-up. For most vehicles manufactured before the mid-1990’s, sparks plugs should be changed every 30,000 miles. However, with the advent and mass adoption of platinum spark plugs, vehicles manufactured since the mid-1990’s usually go 80,000 to 100,000 miles between tune-ups. Batteries — We carry only the finest ACDelco batteries for your vehicle. All batteries are under warranty through the first 18 months—if anything goes wrong with your battery, we will replace it, quickly and with no questions asked. After the first 18 months we will pro-rate the cost through the advertised life of the battery. System flushes — A vehicle’s radiator, transmission, power steering and other systems require regular flushes in order to maintain an optimal level of performance. Flushing removes the sludge and other particles that accumulate over time in any mechanical system. These systems have a variety of needs concerning time between flushes and chemicals used, so ask us about these services. We also carry and install belts, wiper blades, headlights, taillights, turn signals, fuses, and virtually all other maintenance items.
